Paperfangs - “Witches”
Finnish dream-pop outfit Paperfangs dust off the synths and sharpen their swords for a new single called “Witches.” No dragged out graveyard beats here, just a groovy coming-of-age ballad for smokey dance floors and jaded hearts. The song’s vague, unassuming vocals serve as a velvet sheet blanketing the chilly electro pulse as it builds intimately in the background, mystified by recurring samples of a breath that can’t seem to get enough air.
