“Billy Ocean” is the third cut from the sample-based, experimental psych-hop project credited to the animated beat-wizards Teen Wolfe & Golden Chow. After a peak behind the curtain, the playfully mysterious duo is revealed to be a collaborative effort between Samuel Cooper of Sunglasses and Elgin Braden of Aux Arc.
Let the dazed-off zen samples draw you in and build up the majesty of the BABY JAZZ comic book kingdom before bashing you over the head with its killer drum beat. Primal and jubilant, this jam awakens the animal within. “How much weight can you lose in two weeks?” asks the informercial sample… fuck that, how much weight can you lose over the four-and-a-half minutes you spend submitting your mind, body, and soul to this solid space jam.
